About the Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus (K
of C) is a family oriented, Catholic
fraternal organization, founded by
Fr. Michael J.
McGivney in 1882.
The Knights of Columbus are committed to
serving the community through charitable
works, works of service, and strengthening
the faith development of its members and
their families.
The four major principals of the Knights of
Columbus are:
-
Charity: The Knights of Columbus are committed to charity, walking in solidarity with those less fortunate.
-
Unity: The Knights stand firm with the Catholic Church and its teachings, promoting and speaking out for morals and ethics grounded in our Christian values.
-
Fraternity: As Catholics, we do not stand alone, but we can rely on the faithfullness and stewardship of our brothers. The Knights of Columbus have a strong history of banding together in times of stress, illness, and death.
-
Patriotism: Knights all over the world are proud citizens of their country, illustrated by devotion to God and country.
